CM Tugs is located in the Heart of Historic Port Deposit, Maryland on the banks of the
Susquehanna River which is the Chesapeake's Bay's largest fresh water tributary and the head of the Chesapeake Bay.
CM Tugs is not far down river from Smith Falls, farthest point North that John Smith was able to navigate before
realizing that there was no Northwest passage via the Chesapeake to the Orient on August 2 1608, it is where Smith met the
Susquehannock Indians. The Susquehanna River is also the Northern part of the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Water Trail.
CM Tugs is a short walk from Port Deposit's segment of the Lower Susquehanna Greenway Trail, which includes a Scenic Outlook of the Susquehanna from the recently completed Jetty in Marina Park. The Jetty, being in
easy walking distance, is also a fantastically romantic place to watch the sunset before or after a great meal at CM Tugs.
CM Tugs also has a great many photographs and other items related to the Bainbridge Naval Training Center. USNTC Bainbridge served as the US Navy's training center from October 1, 1942 operating throughout World War II, the Korean and Vietnam
wars, and the Cold War era. A total of 506 buildings where built from March to August 1942. It closed as a military facility
on March 31, 1976.
CM Tugs is housed on the ground floor of what is a prime example of Eastlake style architecture.
This Victorian era building dating back to the 1890's which was built by George Oldham as general store.

Tugs, as is the entire Town of Port Deposit, is on the National Register of Historic Places. Its buildings and homes display an eclectic assortment of Georgian, Victorian, Italianate, and Federal styles providing
instant architectural history in a pleasant walking tour.
CM Tugs serves regional fair including Rockfish stuffed
with Crab Imperial, Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, and Maryland Crab Soup; favorites such as 100% Black Angus Beef hamburgers, Filet
Mignon, Rib Eye Steaks and Snow Crab Legs, and weekly specials that range from Champagne Chicken, Balsamic Glazed Tuna Steaks,
Seared Scallops over Shrimp Risotto and Calamari Fra Diavolo.

and 100 bottles of spirits available from around the world. With a friendly, inviting staff and environment CM Tugs is ready
to serve you for lunch and dinner, as well as a nightcap 6 days a week.
